Project Description

  • Molecular simulation of hydrogels

    Hydrogels are polymeric networks that can respond to external changes such as pH, temperature, ion concentration, etc. Due to this property, these materials are widely used in pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. The reaction of hydrogels to an external stimulus depends on its structural and molecular properties. Therefore, understanding the interplay between molecular properties and the macroscopic response is crucial to design and select suitable hydrogels for a given application. My main project at LTD involves developing new approaches to study the conformational changes of hydrogels by molecular simulation.
