The university of Kaiserslautern is located in the south of downtown Kaiserslautern, close to Germany's natural resort "Pfälzer Wald" (see map). It is easily accessible by car, train, and airplane.
Arriving by car - Directions from Saarbrücken (A6)- Autobahn A6 - exit Kaiserslautern-West (Opel)
- At the exit turn left on B270 in the direction Kaiserslautern/Waldfischbach
- After approx. 2 km turn left into B37 (Pariser Straße)
- After approx. 1.5 km turn right into Brandenburger Straße (route)
- After approx. 1.3 km turn right into Trippstadter Straße
- At the first traffic light after the bridge turn left into Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße (Parking lot on the left side)
- The Laboratory is located on the 4th floor in Building 44 (map)

Arriving by car - Directions from Mannheim (A6)- Autobahn A6 - exit Kaiserslautern-Centrum
- Turn left into Donnersbergstraße (route)
- At the end of the street turn right in to Barbarossastraße
- Barbarossastraße is turning into Logenstraße
- Turn right into Trippstadter Straße
- At the first traffic light after the bridge turn left into Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße (Parking lot on the left side)
- The Laboratory is located on the 4th floor in Building 44 (map).

Arriving by train- Kaiserslautern Central Station is not far away from the university. Please use one of the cabs in front of the station to get to the LTD. The ride will take about 5 minutes.
- Via public transportation system: Please use bus lines 105 or 115. Destination stop is "Universität Süd". You will find the departure time on the VRN Website. From the bus stop, please walk 50 m backwards and walk down the steps to Building 44/46. LTD is located in the 4th floor in Building 44 (map).

Car: From Frankfurt please drive in the direction of Mannheim and then change onto Autobahn A6 to Kaiserslautern. For detailed directions please have a look at the descriptions above.
